How I Wrote My Bride Wedding Speech

Thank you for visiting my bride wedding speech website. I finally got married to my long time partner James last year and I can honestly say that it was the best day of my life. About 6 months before the big day I decided that I wanted to write my own bride wedding speech but I had no clue how to do it. I did some research on the internet and found some very useful information which really helped to make my wedding day such a huge success.

I’m quite a shy person really and was terrified at the thought of getting up and talking to all my guests as you can probably tell from my photo. I wanted everyone to enjoy themselves and I wanted them to remember what I said, it was very important to me that I got it right. I kept putting if off because I was really scared and then my husband (now!) just told me to get on with it and stop worrying about it.

So I read the information I’d downloaded from the internet a few weeks previously and I just started to write my bride wedding speech. It took me just over 2 hours to finish it plus a bit more time for some editing because my writing is awful to say the least. I couldn’t believe it, I followed everything in the bride wedding speech guide and it was finally done. I was so relieved. I didn’t show it to anyone, not even my husband because I wanted it to be completely fresh and original which it was and it was so funny.

Everyone was howling, in a good way of course and that’s exactly the reaction I wanted. I had many compliments from my guests, my mom and dad couldn’t believe that I’d have the confidence to stand up in front of everyone and actually do it but I did and I feel really great now and so does James, his cheeks are still sore from laughing so much. Anyway, like I said, I didn’t have a clue where to start but the information I found showed me exactly how to do it the right way.

Mother of the Bride Speech – Making Interesting Wedding Speeches For the Bride’s Mother

By Miguel Jerald

A wedding ceremony will definitely include mother of the bride speech. There are certain things that you need to include in your speech. The speech must please the audience. The mother of the bride speech is given after the father of the groom toasts the bride. When you are called to speak on the stage, make sure that you speak something positive about the groom. This will please his mom and dad.

As in all wedding speeches, thank the Master of Ceremonies for introducing your speech. This is just a polite way to get started. Say something nice about your daughter. Mention few words about the parents of the groom. Thank all your relatives and friends for attending the wedding. Thank them for making the wedding successful and memorable one for your daughter.

In your speech always keep things positive and funny. Prepare for the speech well in advance, because you will not have time later. The speech must be so good that it must leave an impression on the bride. Mother of the bride speech can also have some motherly advice. You can end the speech with short poem, which will make the newlyweds happy. The bride and bridegroom should remember the speech forever. Initially it will be little difficult but you can refer some books and browse online for some good examples.

You are responsible for making your daughters wedding day a memorable one with full of love and delight. The mother of the bride speech is something very unique and it creates a lasting impression on the guests. First you can include some simple striking humorous stories of your daughter from the past and a standout experience that your whole family shared for instance a family outing. Convey the happiness in welcoming the groom as a part of your family and also express him that your daughter is lucky to get as her husband. Talk a few words about your daughter that she is always special to you.

Thank the groom’s family for giving a perfect son for the bride and for their family. Avoid having sad thoughts during the speech. Once you begin to deliver your speech you will automatically become too emotional and you will start crying. You have somehow control your tears though it is difficult to do so.

Sometimes you will start thinking that your daughter will not be with you and you will not be able to give a good speech. You can practice the speech by writing it in a sheet of paper. But do not read from the sheet on the stage. You can find some excellent Bride’s Mother speeches examples in this site: http://www.weddingspeech4you.info. The speech must not only be something different but the contents of the speech must be surprising and entertaining.

Bride Wedding Speech – Why Should I Give One?

By Felicity Porter

There are several reasons to give a bride wedding speech: To add to the occasion’s entertainment, to thank those who helped you make this wonderful day possible, to follow a tradition. Before you even start setting the first words of your wedding speech on paper, stop for a moment and think about your motives for giving a bride wedding speech. Not that you need a certain kind of motivation to write the right speech, but rather, your kind of motivation will flavor the kind of speech you will end up giving.

If entertaining your audience is your main motive, you should go with a funny bride wedding speech. If you are funny and easily pull of jokes, this is a great way to make a lasting impression. Keep the speech short and to the point and lightly move from one funny anecdote to a wedding joke to the next hilarious moment from your past with your brand new husband. Just be careful not to overdo it and not to step on anyone’s toes. Funny stops being so if it hurts someone.

You are planning on giving a traditional bride wedding speech. Well, the tradition of the bride speech isn’t all that traditional yet. In days gone by the groom would give a speech for the both of them and brides usually wouldn’t give any kind of speech at their reception. But that’s a thing of the past. Nowadays plenty of brides prepare a speech for their wedding, which most of the time includes thanking everybody who helped make this day possible, and some personal thoughts and anecdotes of your relationship with your new husband.

Your main motivation is to thank everyone involved in your wedding? Then the thankful bride wedding speech would be your way to go. You’ll structure your speech around the list of people you’d like to thank. Make sure you include your husband, your parents and in-laws, the wedding party and (if the list doesn’t get too long) the people involved in organizing and executing all the details for your wedding. Weave in a funny anecdote or two that might have happened during the preparations, since it’s the little mishaps we often remember best about great celebrations and which add the special flavor.

You want to make sure you’ve got all your bases covered? Then the all-in-one bride wedding speech would be the right way to go. You will mention your husband, how smashing he looks, how much you love him and the special things about your relationship. You will also give thanks where it’s due, but keep it on the shorter side here. You will weave in a joke or funny anecdote here or there to keep the whole speech flowing lightly. And most importantly, you’ll speak straight from your heart and express how important this day is for you, especially since it’s the official starting point for your life-long relationship and happiness with your husband.

So whichever approach you choose, make sure it expresses you as a person and comes from your heart. No elegant and great words can express and show who you are as a few simple and sincere words that let people see who you are and what you think and feel. Keep it simple and fairly short (around 10 minutes should do fine) and enjoy yourself while giving the speech, that way everybody else will enjoy it too.

Felicity Porter’s own wedding hasn’t been very long ago and she likes to share her own experience with her bride wedding speech and what she’s learned in the process about writing wedding speeches with fellow brides to make their stressful preparation times just a little easier.
Bride Wedding Speeches: In Her Eyes

By Stacy Craig

When you hear bride wedding speeches, you can see what the bride feels about the groom. It gives you an opportunity to see a glimpse of how the relationship of the bride and groom really are behind closed doors. The wedding speech of the bride should primarily be able to do this to the audience.

Bride Wedding Speeches: The Greatest Opportunity

Delivering bride wedding speech is the greatest opportunity where you can share that how groom has brought happiness in your life. It is important that you convey a message of love and undying devotion to your husband in this speech. In this way, you’ll be able to show your husband that you’re willing to be with him, no matter what happens.

It can also be an opportunity for you to thank everyone who had been part of the story ever since it began for you as a couple. You can even have some kind of audience participation as the part of your bride wedding speech if you want.

If you have audience participation for your speech, it would be easier for the people at the wedding to feel your happiness as a woman in love. Sometimes, mere words cannot express how much you love a person. That is why; it would be best if you use props that can invoke funny memories from both your husband and the people at the wedding. If you do this, you will be able to keep the audience alive and energetic throughout the night.

In addition to this, do not keep your wedding speech emotionless. You should be able to inject energy in your speech so that the audience will be enthused by what you are saying. Therefore, your delivery must be energetic and full of life as well. This is why, it is important for you to practice reciting your wedding speech a few weeks before the event so that you would be able to get rid of the nerves before you step onto the stage to speak.

If you can do this, you will be able to deliver your speech in a relaxed and cool manner, which would earn you high praises from the audience and your husband most of all.

Bride Wedding Speeches: The Most Splendid Conclusion

Ending your bride wedding speech with a bang is also as important as finding the words to begin your speech. You should be able to leave something significant behind for the audience to remember you by after the wedding.

You can use quotes from a romantic film or your favorite poem to end your speech. By doing this, you would have the full attention of the audience until the end of your speech. Your speech will be the best if you keep these rules in mind.

Thank you for the time you spent with me reading this article about bride speeches!

Bride and Groom Wedding Speech Ideas

When it comes to the speeches on your big day, sometimes you need to consider the bride and groom speeches together.

For my wife and I, we didn’t want to spoil the surprise by writing out speeches together. But we did think that it might be a good idea to have a chat and figure out the direction we wanted our wedding speeches to go in.

Deciding on Who Says What When it comes to any kind of speech, whether the grooms wedding speeches or the father of groom wedding speech, it can help to get your stories straight and make sure that every single speech isn’t repeating the other. This is why discussing bride and groom wedding speech ideas with your other half is a good idea.

Bride and Groom Wedding Speech

Not all bride and grooms will do separate speeches. Perhaps only one of you is doing a speech, or maybe you even want to address it together! If you still haven’t decided then I recommend you have a good discussion before moving onto the next steps.

Coming Up With the Perfect Speeches

Once you’ve decided it’s a good idea to talk to your future wife and ask whether she’s preparing a speech herself. Chances are that you will both have a few of the same ideas, such as telling stories of how you met and what you’ve done together.

Bride and Groom Wedding Speech

One option is to decide to cover different topics. Another option is to both cover the story of how you got together – but from different points of view. This can make for exciting, funny, yet still poignant grooms wedding speeches that your guests will love!

Finding bride and groom wedding speech ideas together isn’t always done, but I think sharing some ideas – while still keeping the speeches private until the big day – can be really inspiration. Better still, check out some Bride and Groom Wedding Speech examples to really help your speech be what you want it to be!

Why you must take your wedding celebration seriously

Author: Sophia Guggenheim

While it might sound unlikely that there is a couple that does NOT take their wedding celebration seriously, from my own experience I can say for sure that there are plenty of celebrations, which where planned and done somewhat half-heatedly. This article is a warning to everybody, who might be doing the same mistake in the future.

Reasons for throwing a “non-serious” wedding celebration party

There are as a matter of fact several reasons, why a couple might choose to throw their wedding celebration in a “non-serious” way. An obvious one is money. If you can’t go all in, you might be tempted to do a rather “symbolic” party, maybe only inviting the very close family to a pub-lunch or something similar. Other couples might question the institution of marriage as such and opt for an “alternative” celebration. Friends of mine for example organized a “spontaneous” celebration, where non of the guests knew that they were invited to a wedding beforehand. The result was disastrous and unfortunately the marriage is already under serious strains. The third kind of candidates for a “non-serious” party simply leaves the wedding organization till too late.

In all three cases the result is the same, a wedding celebration that is not enjoyable for various different reasons and that leaves the couple with the deep feeling of dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, this feeling lasts and there is no way to make it go away.

A once in a life-time chance

The wedding celebration as such is a very central and emotional event for the marriage of a couple. If your wedding was a disaster you will NOT forget it and there is no way to make up for it. This is very bad in itself, but to make things worse, your marriage will suffer from it as well. A successful wedding celebration lays a solid foundation for a successful marriage in several ways. Not only will the joyous memories of your most important “shared” day last a life time, but also will you gain enormous confidence in your relationship to each other from the fact that you have successfully organized such a difficult celebration together.

If, on the other hand, you have made a mess of your wedding celebration it will be hard to bounce back from it and it is a very bad start for your marriage, unless it was ruined by factors that where unforeseeable or out of your control. Your confidence in your partner and into the relationship as such will take serious damage. The whole outlook on the marriage will be a lot more negative and pessimistic, since things that have not started well are more prone to failure.

Celebrate your wedding properly

So, take your wedding seriously! Start organizing in time and do it thoroughly. If you have a small budget, make the most of it. Don’t try to save money at all costs. If you have reservation regarding the very concept of marriage then better don’t marry. You might be more likely to continue a happy relationship in a “wild” marriage. And remember, taking your wedding seriously also means making yourself extremely vulnerable. It is like walking around with a post-it attached to your forehead that says “This is the best I can do” and people will judge your efforts very critically. Still, it is worth giving it your best shot, because a lot is at stake.

Weddings are marvelous reasons to rejoice in the love of family and friends. Love and romance fill the air and everyone is thrilled about the ceremony to come. Friends and family arrive to wish the happy couple good luck and take part in the celebration of their love for one another.

Being the father of the bride may stir up a variety of emotions. You are happy and thrilled for your daughter but maybe a little sad too. Your little princess will be starting a new life and preparing to leave the security of your home. Your place in your daughter’s life will be different.

A father of the bride speech is a wonderful time to accept your daughter’s choice of husband and welcome him into the family. Show your daughter how proud you are of her and how much you love and adore her as the woman she has become. Special memories of her younger years are a sweet touch to make a memorable father of the bride speech. Let your heart be your guide and keep your speech short but sweetly sentimental.

Father of the bride speeches are expected to be sweetly sincere, and warm. You are walking you little girl down the aisle toward the beginning of a brand new chapter in her life. You must come to terms with the fact that your role in your daughter’s life will be changed forever.

You can start your father of the bride speech with a few sweet tales of your daughter as a child. Some sweet stories to relate may be watching her first steps, or how you felt when you held your daughter in your arms for the first time. Make mention of major milestones in her life and how proud she made you in those moments. You can add a bit of levity by making some witty remarks about her teenage years and how you both made it through. End this portion of your speech by telling your little girl how by being her father you have been blessed and nothing can replace that. Show her how proud you are of how she has grown and that you love her and appreciate the wonderful woman she has become.

When it comes to the matter of your new son in law you can have a little bit of fun in your speech, but don’t be heavy handed. It is expected that there will be some light teasing and good natured ribbing of your new son-in-law and everyone will be prepared for it. When you finish giving your son in law a hard time make sure you end with a compliment. Welcome your new son-in-law to the family and let him know how much you appreciate him for making your daughter happy.

Ensure that you have plenty of time for you to prepare for and write your speech. Once you have it written practice reading out loud frequently. Practicing your wedding speech aloud will help you prepare for actually giving your speech as well as helping you find areas which may require to be changed. Read your speech for other people and ask for their input. Before starting your speech take a little time to relax and gather yourself. Speak clearly and slowly allowing everyone to be able to hear and understand you. Take a moment to enjoy this moment. Your daughter’s love will be shining in her face as you give a father of the bride speech she will cherish for the rest of her life.

Struggling With Your Bride Wedding Speech? Here is all the Tips and Secrets on How Write an Inspiring Bride Wedding Speech!

Author: Maggie Mayfair

Although it is not considered tradition, more and more brides choose to give a bride wedding speech. It is only natural to feel a little bit intimidated by this. Make sure your speech is to-the-point, punchy and no more than 3-5 minutes. There is nothing worse than a speech that just goes on and on. Normally the order of wedding speeches is as follows:

1. Father of the Bride Speech
2. Groom Wedding Speeech
3. Bride Wedding Speech
4. Best Man Speech

Start of by dividing your speech into three sections, consisting of the following format: Opening, main body of your speech and a closing. This will help you to organize your thoughts and make it a whole lot easier to construct your. Jot down your thoughts under each section. You can use this as a rough draft of your speech.

Start with a Punchy Opening Line

Your opening line should be powerful and punchy. You can start off with a humorous ice-breaker like: “All of you who knows me well, also know how hard it is for me to keep quiet. Today is no exception. I think it is only appropriate the bride also have something to say. I promise to try and keep it short.” This should get you off to a great start and you can build your speech from there on.

Main Body – All the Thank You’s

It is probably wise to make a list beforehand of all the people who have contributed one way or the other to make this day special. Go through this with your mother so that you do not leave anyone out.

People to thank include :

- Your parents and in-laws for organizing and co-ordinating the wedding
- The guests who made an effort to be there and for their generous gifts
- Your father for giving you away and for his kind words in his speech and toast
- The clergyman or woman for his/her wonderful and inspiring wedding ceremony
- Your lovely bridesmaids for their role in the wedding
- Your maid of honor for assisting you
- Other people who have contributed, like making the flower arrangements, singing at the
wedding ceremony etc.

You can then proceed and mention your husband and how happy you are. Tell a funny story about your first date to bring some humor in your bride wedding speech. Comment on how lucky you feel tho be his wife and express your love for him. You can probably include a meaningful wedding quotation or lovely poem that reflects on the feelings you have for him.

Don’t forget to mention your in-laws in your speech. Thank them dearly for their kindness and support. Tell them how blessed you are to be their son’s wife, and make them feel welcome and part of your family.

Move On To a Meaningful Closing

Comment on any advice given in the previous speeches and thank them for their kind words. Now you can say how happy you and your new husband will be together. Say something like: “You are the only love of my life, my true best friend, and now we are husband and wife. I’m the happiest girl in the world and I cannot wait to share the rest of my life with you.” End your bride wedding speech with a resounding toast!

Author: Alan Vaufrouard

Your wedding reception is a time to celebrate the beautiful union of a husband and wife and also a time to celebrate that the stress of planning and organising the wedding reception is finally over! While there is a suggested order of events that has been used traditionally, you can certainly choose to customise any portion of it to fit your personal circumstances, but keep in mind that Organising the Wedding Reception has worked successfully for countless couples and is likely what your guests will expect.

Organising the Wedding Reception – Order of Events

Suggested order of events at the wedding reception:

1. The guests arrive at the reception. They may be there for a while before the wedding party arrives due to wedding photos being taken so you will want to have drinks and hors d’oeuvres ready for them to enjoy.

2. The wedding party arrives. You may wish to have a Toastmaster announce the Bride and Grooms arrival only or the entire wedding party.

3. Toasts. This time honored tradition allows kind words of encouragement to the Bride and Groom and sets the tone for the reception. The Best Man offers a toast first and may be followed by the Maid of Honor and possibly other family members such as the Bride’s father, but you will want to consider how long to leave the guests waiting before dinner.

4. Blessing of the meal. The Toastmaster should ask everyone to take their seats for dinner before the blessing. The blessing can be said by the Bride or Groom’s father or Grandfather or other special person that the Bride and Groom choose.

5. Dinner is served. Whether this will be a buffet or sit down meal, the Bride and Groom are served first followed by the wedding party and parents. Then the Toastmaster may want to call tables up one by one if it is a buffet, otherwise the guests should be served at this time.

6. The Bride and Groom’s first dance. This is the time your song is set for life. You will always remember this first dance together.

7. The Father-Daughter dance and any other special dances. The brides father gets his “last dance” with his little girl. You may want to make this just the first part of a song and then the DJ can announce the wedding party as they enter the dance floor, or you can do two separate songs. After this you want all the guests to join in on the dance floor as soon as possible so they don’t become lethargic after dinner and want to leave too early.

8. The tossing of the bouquet and garter. The bride tosses the bouquet over her shoulder to all the single ladies, keep in mind that single means “never married” and not divorced and the groom tosses the garter to all the single men. The lucky guy who catches the garter then gets to place it on the leg of the lucky lady who caught the bouquet.

9. Cutting of the cake. Now the DJ can announce the cutting of the cake. The Bride and Groom make the first cut together and then serve each other a piece with their fingers. This is a great photo op. Someone else, even the kitchen help, can then cut and serve the cake to the guests or place the slices on the dessert table for people to eat when they want or wrap up and take home.

10. Dance until they drop. Now guests should feel free to dance and party until their hearts content. The Bride and Groom are free to dance or leave early if they have a plane to catch or just want to get the honeymoon started.

Once again, this order is just a suggestion because this is your big day and everything about organising the wedding reception should be planned to make it feel right for you. The most important thing is to just enjoy yourself and take some time to remember what is really important about this day—you got married. Everything else is really secondary to that.

One of the biggest problem that any bride faces when she first starts thinking about planning her wedding is “Where do I start?” There are literally thousands of different magazines, books, web sites, TV shows, and so on that claim to be able to help you plan “the perfect wedding.”

Of course, if you’ve already decided on a theme wedding, then 90% of those wedding books, magazines, etc. are going to be useless to you. (They mostly focus on how to plan a traditional wedding — and they all seem to cater to women with about $50,000+ to spend on their weddings!)

Theme weddings are a lot more difficult to research because a lot fewer people know what they are talking about when it comes to planning one.
